LAGOS VIDEO CENSORS BOARD TAKES SENSITISATION TO EPE

As part of efforts to sustain standards and professionalism in the industry, as well as build synergy for a sustainable collaboration with practitioners across the State, the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, (LSFVCB) has held a sensitisation campaign targeted at stakeholders and residents of Epe and its environs.

The sensitisation exercise, which was strategically scheduled, comes on the heels of the official opening of the Board’s Epe Office located within the Local Government Secretariat, Iraye Road, Epe.

Executive Secretary, LSFVCB, Adebukola Agbaminoja, spoke during the campaign, noting that in line with the State Government’s T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda, the Agency has refocused to deliver optimal service to practitioners and stakeholders.

In her words: “As an agency of government that regulates contents in film and video, ensuring that such contents are clean and safe for public view and consumption, we are mandated to call on practitioners in the industry to maintain professionalism in their delivery and this must be taken to all five divisions of the State. This necessitated the establishment of branch offices across the State. In this regard, Epe thus achieves the distinction of being the pioneer division in this strategic alignment”.

Agbaminoja noted that the opening of LSFVCB in Epe is essential to enhance service delivery and guarantee equitable access to the capacity building initiatives of the State Government for the benefit of the industry.

She stated further that the basket of capacity building policies include the provision of training opportunities, financial intervention through interest-free loans and the promotion of high-value content.

“We are closer and available to serve your interest as the numerous opportunities provided by Mr. Governor are vehicles for liberating the teeming masses of youths from the shackles of unemployment”, she declared.

The HRM, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, (Oloja of Epe Land) and HRM, Oba Olatunji Adewale (Olu Epe of Epe Kingdom), who played host to the Agency separately during the sensitisation exercise, assured of their full support to the Epe office opening and the operations of the Agency in the community.
